In Acts 5, the Jewish Rabbi Gamaliel delivered a profound caution to the Sanhedrin, urging them not to act hastily against the apostles, the gospel's spread, and the church's growth in Jerusalem. His words, "... for if this plan or action should be of men, it will be overthrown; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God," Carry significant weight in our study of the book of Acts. We see Luke defending the latter position that Christianity is of God and cannot be overthrown.
